Great Value Mexican Food has arrived in Victoria Harbour

Inspired by the streets of Mexico, Chilangos Mexican Cantina will make its mark on Collins Street this winter.

Newly opened from 26 July 2019, it is serving a range of Mexican favourites including burritos, nachos, tacos, churros and even Mexican beer.

Faithful to the Mexican street food experience, your order will be prepared fresh, in front of your eyes, and will be ready within minutes; ideal for a healthy lunch or dinner on the go. It will also be open on selected evenings, so you can sit down to enjoy the lively restaurant atmosphere.

We caught up with General Manager Ricky Anand, to learn more about what this new restaurant has to offer. Here is what he had to say…

What can we expect from Chilangos?
The Victoria Harbour store is our second Chilangos restaurant, with the first located on Goldsbrough Lane, near William Street. With the smell of hot chillies, guacamole, and fragrant spices, you can expect to go on a sensory journey to the streets of Mexico. The restaurant will be vibrant and colourful, with Latin music playing in the background. And we’ll have a selection of local drinks including Mexican beers, South American wines and modern cocktails.

Tell us a little bit about the menu…
We really want to mimic the Mexican street food experience in our restaurant. This means we’ll have extremely fast service and food will be prepared in minutes. 

Mexican food is famous for its hot chillies and jalapenos, so we will have plenty of spicy meals on the menu. But we know that not everyone can handle the heat, so we’ll also serve mild alternatives for those who may want to enjoy Mexican flavours without the burn.

We’ll also have a range of desserts including our famous Mexican churros rolled in cinnamon sugar.

Can we get Chilangos delivered?
Of course. Chilangos Mexican Cantina is available on Deliveroo and Uber Eats which means you can get great value burritos, burrito bowls, nachos and tacos delivered to your home or office.

What are Chilangos opening hours?
Chilangos Mexican Cantina is open Monday – Wednesday 11am – 3pm. On Thursdays and Fridays it is open 10am - 3pm and 5pm – 9pm so you can dine in to enjoy after work dinner and drinks.
